Why might there be a price difference after payment?

Price discrepancies between the initial checkout and final invoicing can occur due to several technical and logistical variables analyzed during processing:

1. Technical Processing Adjustments During File Review

Initial pricing is calculated automatically by our online quoting system. However, specific manufacturing complexities may not be fully analyzed by automated tools, or incorrect design parameters may have been selected during checkout. Following payment, our engineering team performs a manual CAM review (DFM/DFA verification). If additional processing steps are identified as necessary to ensure production quality, an extra charge may apply.

2. Client-Requested Engineering Changes

If you request structural modifications to your design files or alter manufacturing parameters after the initial order has been submitted and paid for, these changes will lead to a corresponding price adjustment.

3. Actual Shipping Weight Exceeding Estimates

Logistics costs are calculated based on estimated parameters. If the finalized package's actual dead weight or volumetric weight exceeds the original shipping estimates, a price adjustment will be generated to cover the variance.

4. Promotional Pricing Clarifications

NextPCB frequently runs active promotional campaigns. If an order incurs standard technical surcharges post-review, these adjustments can sometimes be misinterpreted as extra fees beyond the scope of the original promotional order amount.

What should I do if I see a price difference on my order?

If you observe a price variance on your pending order, please contact our customer support or your sales representative immediately for clarification. Our team will provide an itemized breakdown detailing the technical or logistical reasons for the adjustment.

Will I be notified about any price differences?

Yes. NextPCB will explicitly inform you of any necessary price adjustments and obtain confirmation before your order is released to the production line. If you have any questions regarding your invoice, please contact our support group directly at support@nextpcb.com.
