NextPCB's injection molding quote tool lets you submit a custom plastic housing
or enclosure project online. Upload your 3D drawing, specify material, color,
material additives, SPI surface finish, quantity, logo and insert requirements,
and submit for a sales representative review within 1 working day.
Price is quoted manually because tooling cost depends on part geometry,
mold material and surface finish.

File Upload
3D Drawing (required): .step or .stp, one file, up to 200 MB.
Technical / Processing File (optional): generally PDF or DXF, any format accepted,
one file, up to 20 MB.
When a logo is added to the housing, both the technical file and the logo file are required.
When inserts are specified, the insert technical file is required.
Material, Color and Additives
Material: ABS, ASA, Nylon, PC, PC+ABS, PE, POM, TPU, PP, PVC.
Multiple materials can be selected, or a custom material can be entered.
Color: Black, White, Grey, Transparent, Blue, Red, Yellow, Green.
Multiple colors can be selected, or a custom color can be entered.
Material Additives: None, Flame Retardant, Static Dissipative, UV Stabilizer.
Surface Finish
SPI finish grades: SPI B-3, SPI A-1, SPI A-2, SPI A-3, SPI B-1, SPI B-2,
SPI C-1, SPI C-2, SPI C-3, SPI D-1, SPI D-2, SPI D-3.
If no special requirement is specified, SPI B-3 is applied by default.
Logo and Inserts
Logo on the housing: not required, silk-screen or laser etching.
Inserts: not required, technical file upload required when inserts are needed.
Quantity and Mold Material
First batch quantity is required.
Expected annual volume buckets: 10000 pcs or less, 10000-50000 pcs,
50000-100000 pcs, 100000 pcs or more.
Mold material requirement can be specified, for example S136, 718H or P20.
Other special requirements about production, packaging or shipment can be added
in a free-text field.
Quotation Process
Injection molding is not priced online. After submitting the inquiry,
a NextPCB sales representative reviews the parameters and contacts the customer
within 1 working day. Final price is subject to review.
