prototype and production PCB assembly orders. The two-step workflow covers PCB fabrication
parameters (Step 1) and SMT/THT assembly parameters (Step 2), including Gerber file upload,
DFM analysis, BOM matching, and centroid file processing. Supports FR-4, Aluminum, Copper,
Ceramic, Flexible, and Rigid-Flex board materials with 1 to 32 layers.

Step 1: PCB Fabrication Parameters
File Upload
Gerber file upload required (zip or rar format, maximum 50 MB).
Integrated DFM (Design for Manufacturability) analysis and Gerber viewer available after upload.
Basic Board Information
Material types: FR-4 (standard default), Aluminum, Copper, Ceramic, Flexible Boards, Rigid-Flex Board.
Layer count options: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, and 22–32 layers.
Number of different designs: configurable (minimum 1).
Board size (single piece): configurable in mm or inch.
Quantity: configurable in pcs.
Board delivery type: Single piece, Panel by Customer, or Panel by NextPCB.

Outer copper weight: 1 oz (default), 1.5 oz, 2 oz, 3 oz, 4 oz.
Minimum trace width/spacing: 10/10 mil, 8/8 mil, 6/6 mil (default for PCBA), 5/5 mil, 4/4 mil, 3.5/3.5 mil.
Minimum mechanical drill hole: 0.3 mm (default), 0.25 mm, 0.2 mm, 0.15 mm.
Surface Finish and Appearance
Surface finishes: HASL (default), Lead-Free HASL, ENIG (Electroless Nickel Immersion Gold), OSP.
Solder mask colors: Green (default), Red, Yellow, Blue, White, Black, Matte Black.
Silkscreen colors: White (default), Black.
Via processing options: Tented Vias (default), Opened Vias,
Solder Mask Plug IPC Type IV-B, Non-Conductive Fill and Cap IPC Type VII.

Step 2: PCB Assembly (SMT / THT) Parameters
Required Files for Assembly
Centroid file (pick and place file): required. Accepted formats: zip, rar, xlsx, xls (maximum 50 MB).
BOM file (Bill of Materials): required. Accepted formats: xls, xlsx, csv (maximum 5 MB).
PCBA quantity: configurable in pcs.
BOM File Requirements
Required BOM columns: Designator (component reference, comma-separated),
Quantity, Manufacturer Part Number.
Optional BOM columns: Procurement Type (DNP for Do Not Populate; C for customer-supplied parts),
Customer Note.
Component Procurement Types
Standard procurement: NextPCB sources components based on Manufacturer Part Number.
DNP (Do Not Populate): components listed in BOM but not assembled onto the board.
Customer-supplied parts (marked C): customer provides their own components for assembly.
Workflow Overview
Step 1 — Configure PCB fabrication parameters and upload Gerber files.
Use the integrated DFM analysis tool to identify potential manufacturability issues before submission.
Step 2 — Upload BOM and centroid (pick and place) files, set assembly quantity.
Alternatively, select "Only PCB" to skip assembly and proceed with PCB fabrication only.
