LibrePCB is a free, open-sourced, cross-platform electronics design automation suite for drawing schematics and printed circuit board designs. Designed with ease of use in mind, founder and lead developer Urban Bruhin promotes the tool as having no restrictions, no unnecessary complexity and is suitable for everyone at all levels from makers to professionals.
As a free and open-sourced project, Urban and the LibrePCB project relies on the generous donations of users and sponsors to fund development. Support the project by donating or just by using LibrePCB and passing on a good word to your friends.
After upgrading it's sponsorship of the free EDA suite KiCad, and subsequently hosting the first-ever Asian KiCon conference, HQ (Huaqiu) Electronics strives to continue its support for accessible tools that promote electronics innovation.
“LibrePCB holds a lot of potential and is giving what users want which is ease of use and simplicity. The field of manufacturing is confusing enough so tools that make electronics development easier for designers deserves everyone's support,” mentioned HQ Electronics CEO Suibai Chen.
HQ Electronics hopes to simplify the electronics hardware development cycle further by seamlessly integrating manufacturing into the design flow.
The World's Leading Industrial Digital Manufacturing Platform, HQ (Huaqiu) Electronics which includes HQ NextPCB reliable PCB manufacturing and assembly and HQ Online electronics components distributor, also developed the DFM analysis tool HQDFM for electronics engineers to optimize their designs for manufacture.
HQDFM, is a free Design for Manufacture (DFM) software suite that uses 15 years of manufacturing expertise to perform one-click DFM analysis on production files before users send them off to manufacture. An online Gerber Viewer version exists for users to try out the DFM capabilities and quickly view Gerber files online.
