Manual routing

1. Prior to auto-routing, some important networks, such as high-frequency clocks, main power supplies, etc., must be manually clothed. These networks often have special requirements for trace distance, line width, line spacing, shielding, etc.; and some special packages such as BGA.

Auto-routing is difficult to rule, but manual routing is also required.

2. After the automatic routing, use manual routing to adjust the PCB traces.

Automatic routing

After the manual routing is completed, the remaining network is given to the autorouter from the cloth. Select Tools->SPECCTRA, start the Specctra router interface, set the DO file, press Continue to start the Specctra router automatic routing, after the end if the deployment rate is 100%, then you can manually adjust the wiring; if not To 100%, there is a problem with the layout or manual routing. You need to adjust the layout or manual wiring until all are turned on.

Precautions

a. Make the power cord and ground as thick as possible

b. The decoupling capacitor should be directly connected with VCC

c. When setting Specctra's DO file, first add the Protect all wires command to protect the manual cloth line from being redistributed by the autorouter.

d. If there is a hybrid power layer, this layer should be defined as Split/mixed Plane. Split it before cabling. After the line is finished, use Plane Connect of PourManager to perform copper clad.

e. Set all device pins to hot pad mode by setting Filter to Pins, selecting all pins, modifying properties, and ticking the Thermal option.

f. Turn on the DRC option during manual wiring and use Dynamic Route
