PowerPCB shortcuts

Posted:03:05 PM January 11, 2019 writer: G

The shortcut command command operates as follows: Enter the command string from the keyboard, enter the value according to the format, and then enter the Enter key.

If you change the current layer, just enter the shortcut command L from the keyboard, then enter the new wiring layer (such as the number 2) and then enter the Enter key to complete, very convenient.

The following is a Chinese explanation of the shortcut command for your reference.

Global settings command

Command character Command meaning and purpose

C Supplemental format used to display the Pad and Thermal of the Plane layer during the inner negative design.

To do so, enter C Display from the keyboard and enter C again to remove the display.

D Turns the current layer display on/off by using D from the keyboard to switch. It is recommended to use D to display the Display Current Layer Last=ON.

.

The DO through hole outline display switches. The aperture is highlighted when ON and the pad is displayed in bottom tone.

To use it, type DO from the keyboard to switch.

E The wiring termination mode is switched, and the following three modes can be switched.

End No Via Wiring Ctrl+click Wiring terminated without VIA

End Via wiring Ctrl+click wiring terminated in VIA mode

End Test Point Ctrl+click when wiring Wiring terminates in VIA mode to test PIN

To do so, type E from the keyboard to switch.

I Database integrity test, try to hit this button when the system is abnormal during the design process.

L changes the current layer to the new n layer

Can be a number or a name, such as (L 2) or (L top).

N is used to highlight NET as the name of the signal to be displayed. The signals can be displayed one by one in a stack mode, such as N GND will highlight the entire GND.

N- will remove the signal one by one

N will remove all highlight signals

O Select the outline to display the pads and wiring.

PO automatic copper profile line on/off switch.

Q Quick measurement command. Can quickly measure dx, dy and d. Note that the Snaps to the design grid in the status box is canceled when measuring accurately.

QL quickly measures wiring length. Line segments, networks, and wiring pairs can be measured.

The measurement method is as follows: first select the line segment, network or wiring pair, and then input QL to get the relevant length report.

R changes the display line width to, for example, R 50.

RV is used to switch parameter settings when outputting the file Reuse. For more information, please see "To Make a Like Reuse in Object Mode"

The SPD displays split/mixed planes layer data, which controls one of the parameters in the split/mixed planes parameter dialog.

The SPI shows the thermal of the plane layer. This command controls one of the parameters in the split/mixed planes parameter dialog.

The SPO displays the outline of the split/mixed planes layer. This command controls one of the parameters in the split/mixed planes parameter dialog.

T transparent display switching. Useful when designing complex boards.

The X Text text outline display toggles.

W Change the line width to, for example, W 5.

Grid command

G{} Grid global settings, the second parameter is optional. Can change the design and VIA Grid at the same time.

                  Such as G25 or G25 25.

The Grid setting is displayed on the GD{} screen. The second parameter is optional.

                  Such as GD25 25 or GD100.

GP switches the polar grid. The polar grid is used when the design shape is circular or the component layout is placed in polar coordinates.

The component in GP r a polar coordinates specifies the movement mode (r is the radius and a is the angle).

The component in the GPR r polar coordinate specifies the movement mode, and changes to the radius r when the angle is constant.

The component in GPA a polar coordinates specifies the movement mode, and changes to the angle a when the radius is constant.

The component in GPRA da polar coordinates specifies the movement mode. When the radius is constant, it changes to the current angle. da

The component in GPRR dr polar coordinates specifies the movement mode, and changes to the current radius r when the angle is constant.

GR design grid settings, such as GR 8-1/3, GR 25 25, G 25.

GV through hole Via grid setting, such as GV 8-1/3, GV 25 25, or GV 25.

Search command

S Retrieve component reference name or terminal, such as S U1 , S U1.1

S Retrieve absolute coordinates, such as S 1000 1000.

SR retrieves relative coordinates X and Y, such as SR -200 100.

SRX retrieves relative coordinates X, such as SRX 300.

SRY retrieves the relative coordinate Y, such as SRY 400.

SS retrieves and selects the component parameter name, such as SS U10.

Note: Spaces in shortcut commands are very important, such as SS W1 and S SW1 have completely different meanings. SS W1 retrieves and selects the W1 component, while S SW1 retrieves the SW1 component.

SS * You can use the * symbol in the search command to make a batch selection. The method is to enter a space after the SS, and then enter the character name and * to be retrieved. For SS C*, all components starting with the letter C can be selected.

Note: This command is very useful for component layout. For example, you can use SS R* to select all the resistors and then move the components one by one by selecting Move Sequential in the pop-up menu to layout.

SX keeps the Y coordinate and moves to the absolute coordinate n of X. Such as the SX 300.

SY keeps the X coordinate unchanged and moves to the absolute coordinate n of Y. Such as SY 400.

XP retrieves and selects wiring in pixels instead of line width. Allows the user to adjust which corners are wider than the line width.

Angle command (quick setting during drafting)

AA at any angle.

AD 45 degree angle.

AO right angle.

Undo

UN [] The number of times the user has set Undo. The system can allow undo (1-100) to be set; it is optional, as UN 2 means that only undo is allowed once.

RE [] The number of times the user has set Redo. The system can allow Rndo (1-100) to be set; it is optional, as RE 2 means that Redo is only allowed once.
